YSR gets multi-faith blessing on first day
Y S Rajasekhara Reddy took charge of his office at the state secretariat, almost two weeks after he had taken oath as the Chief Minister for the second consecutive term. He arrived at the Secretariat at around 0700 hrs to a tumultuous welcome by the officials, employees and took the office amid the prayers by the religious heads of different communities.
The Chief Minister’s chamber at the 6th Floor of C Block echoed with the vedic hymns chanted by the Pundits from the Tirumala and Srisailam temples followed by the prayers by Christian and Muslim religious heads. Earlier he also offered prayers at a Hanuman Temple near the Secretariat.
